What’s Happening: The Georgia PSC has voted several times to raise our Georgia Power bills, impacting our ability to get by daily. With the PSC election on November 4th and early voting from October 14-31, we have the opportunity to vote based on how the PSC has represented us! We can’t just speak out to the PSC—we must also mobilize to the ballots.

DAY 1 (October 21) – PSC Hearing & Rally:

Getting There:

  • We will help folks get to the event and meet at the cafeteria of the PSC

Public Comment:

  • !! BRING PHOTO ID TO ENTER PSC BUILDING !!
  • If you want to give public comment, you need to arrive early
  • Attendees can sign up to speak out during the Georgia PSC Hearing Public Comments for 3 minutes each
  • NEW TO PUBLIC COMMENT? Join our training session (details below)

Public Comment Training: If you’ve never given public comment at the PSC, there’s a session you can join on Monday night, details below:

Photo Opportunity & Rally:

  • There will be a photo opportunity outside at the end
  • We can definitely gather for a group picture and somebody can go off and do the rally thing for a couple of minutes (about 5 minutes would be prudent—we’ve never had more than 30 people there in that kind of way)
  • If the energy is too hype and we need to do something so it doesn’t feel anticlimactic to volunteers or participants, we can walk to the State Capitol a block away
  • Note: We can also walk to the Capitol if security at the PSC gets nervous

DAY 2 (October 22) – Public Comment & Block Party:

Location: Park Ave Baptist Church
Entering on the side entrance (more accessible)
Space: Courtyard and hall inside

Transportation:

  • There will be a bus taking people who need transportation from the PSC to Grant Park

Join Us to Vote Early! Fulton County voters can vote at the Grant Park Rec Center and then join us for a block party!

Block Party Features:

  • Early voting access
  • Free food trucks
  • Fellowship
  • DJ!
