Freeing the Vote for Returning Citizens
Don't believe the hype. In most cases if you have a felony record, you can still vote.
We are fighting for our voice and our vote.
Since launching Respect My Vote in 2008, we have worked with artists and influencers to register and educate hundreds of thousands of voters and help them get to the polls. By encouraging people to use their cultural expression to shape their civic experience, we have reached tens of millions of voters with information and affirmative messages about voting.
We empower first-time voters by walking them through the process, dispelling myths, and making sure they are ready with all they need to cast their ballot. We educate people with felony records on their voting rights. We fight back against voter suppression. We advocate for our communities’ voting rights.
