WASHINGTON — Hip Hop Caucus, a national nonprofit, non-partisan organization that harnesses the power of hip-hop culture to advance and protect civil and human rights, announces the launch of a newly redesigned website which is live today at hiphopcaucus.org.  This launch represents the evolution of Hip Hop Caucus’ website as a digital movement hub—a place where culture and activism converge to inspire real change for BIPOC communities.

The new website incorporates Hip Hop Caucus’ new logo and brand elements, which are the brainchild of the creatives at Ghost Note Agency, a Black-owned creative agency born in the District of Columbia, with offices in New York and Los Angeles. The new website was designed by Teal Media, a woman-owned, full-service creative agency with a conscience based in Washington, DC, that builds websites and drives support for nonprofits.

“We are excited to unveil the new HipHopCaucus.org as a movement hub at a time when millions of Americans are looking for a home for their activism,” said JaRel Clay, Hip Hop Caucus’ associate senior director of digital and production. “More than just beautiful design, our new brand and website were created with the intention of being good for our communities and the planet. Both Ghost Note Agency and Teal Media helped Hip Hop Caucus sharpen our aesthetic and voice to further our mission of fighting for racial, climate, and economic justice for the culture.”

The new Hip Hop Caucus website adopts best practices for digital sustainability, including optimizing images and files to minimize load times, minimizing the transfer of data by setting up smart caching practices, and improving site navigation to make it easy and quick to find information. The website’s dark background reduces energy output and our server uses 100 percent renewable energy as part of a commitment to carbon neutrality. The new website also does not host videos natively — instead, they are hosted on external sites including YouTube and Vimeo.

With this launch, Hip Hop Caucus is also proud to introduce Caucus Productions, a collection of original music, films, and podcasts that amplify culture, community, and real change. Caucus Productions is a gateway to powerful storytelling and creative expression, showcasing Black, Brown, and Indigenous voices and visionary artistry across the intersectional climate justice movement.

Visitors can engage with impactful advocacy campaigns, explore BIPOC-centered media, and sign up to receive the latest Hip Hop Caucus updates.
