As we celebrate Pride Month 2021, we remember the countless Black and Indigenous LGBTQI+ people of color who devoted their lives to this movement so that future generations could invite in the world freely. We also uplift our living champions who fight tirelessly for all of us while standing holistically and unapologetically in their truth.
As a part of our Good Trouble Dept. work, we are honoring our LGBTQI+ sisters and brothers by first and foremost celebrating our joy, brilliance, and the way we all slay. We are also urging our allies and partners to fight for policies like the For The People Act, Equality Act, and American Jobs Plan that directly contribute to the health and wealth of LGBTQI+ people of color.

Are you one of the two million LGBTQ+ Americans who are not registered to vote? We want to help you get registered and learn about the important issues we’re fighting in your area.
We need you in our fight for true democracy.
The For the People Act, passed as H.R. 1 in the House and pending as S. 1 in the Senate, would curb voter suppression and make it easier for all Americans to register to vote and cast a ballot. It would outlaw gerrymandering of congressional districts. And it would overhaul our campaign finance laws to amplify the voices of ordinary Americans, combat corruption, and make federal campaign spending more transparent. Together with the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which would restore the full protections of the landmark Voting Rights Act of 1965, the For the People Act would move us measurably closer to realizing the promise of democracy for all.
We cannot pass this important piece of legislation without your the power and persistence.
